There’s even an audio-only option that delivers complete real-time facial animation—taking the actor’s emotion into account—just from their speech.

For the highest-quality animation that reproduces every nuance of an actor’s facial performance and delivers entirely believable characters that will wow your audiences, MetaHuman Animator requires either an iPhone with a depth sensor or a stereo head-mounted camera (HMC) system and the provided depth plugin. Final-quality frames are processed in a matter of minutes.

Artist-friendly animation that works on any MetaHuman

Facial animation created using MetaHuman Animator can be applied to any MetaHuman character in just a few clicks. The animation data is semantically correct, uses the appropriate rig controls, and is temporally consistent, with smooth control transitions—so animators can easily add artistic refinement and polish in Unreal Engine.

Fully rigged for full-body mocap or keyed animation out of the box

All MetaHumans come with a complete body and face rig that can be animated using full-body mocap via Live Link or traditional keyframe techniques. The MetaHuman rig works with the full suite of Unreal Engine animation tools, including Control Rig, Sequencer, and the ML Deformer.
